In a world first, Heroic Technologies™ deployed HeroFrame™ into the Dewar’s Academy of Whisky’s ‘Blending Game’ – and what a success!

An experimental marketing initiative by Bacardi Global Brands, the Dewar’s Academy of Whisky, takes place in five cities throughout Asia-Pacific and is now on its way to Moscow to start a European season. The blending game (where participants blend their own whisky) is a crucial item on the Academy’s agenda – and with Heroic Technologies™ on its side adding a high tech spec to the game – it was a triumph.

Not only did the HeroFrame™ add style to the game, but it also replaced the need for written instructions – informing participants about the characteristics of the whisky contained in a range of unmarked vessels before them.

How we did this

By discreetly tagging the vessels and designing a sleek table containing a central HeroFrame™, unmarked clear glass vessels would suddenly come to life – as if by magic.

All information, curiosities and clues about the whisky were revealed on a screen. When the vessels were swapped, the content changed – from Speyside to the whiskies of the Highlands. Interactive, fun and it told a fantastic brand story!
